Each Spring and Fall satellite customers will experience varying degrees of signal interference caused by sun transit, a unique phenomenon where the sun aligns with orbiting satellites and receivers on the ground.
The sun causes interference, ranging from a snowy screen to complete signal loss. The interference can last up to 13 minutes each day for nine consecutive days.
The technical difficulties are temporary and completely out of our control. You don't need to adjust your television or satellite dish during this period; signals will return to normal shortly.
Also, please keep in mind that individual channels may experience difficulties during this time since their signals may also be interrupted by sun transit.
The 2008 sun transit will occur between October 5 and October 15.
